Protein Shake Recipes that
DO NOT
Suck!
Raspberry
Protein Shake
1/2 cup skim milk
1/2 cup fresh
raspberries
1/2 banana
1 scoop protein
powder
1 cup ice
Place in blender,
and blend
for 15 - 20 seconds or until smooth
This particular
shake served
as a good wake up for me. Early in the morning, it provided me with
enough
protein, and macro nutrients to get me energized and moving for the
day.
Orange
Vanilla Shake
Mix 1.5 - 2 scoops
of
vanilla
protein powder
8 oz. orange juice
1 tsp. Vanilla
Extract
½ banana
2-3 frozen
strawberries
1 packet of
sweetener or a
few teaspoons of sugar (to taste)
4 – 5 ice
cubes
This shake is
higher in
sugar
content than most shakes I make, so I recommend using this as a
pre-workout
shake. Not before bed! Sure tastes good though!
Peanut
Butter Chunk Shake
2 scoops vanilla
protein
1 tbsp sugar-free
instant
pudding mix (Your
choice of flavor)
1 tbsp natural
peanut
butter,
chunky
8 oz skim milk
3-6 ice cubes
Add everything to
blender.
If
you want a chunky consistency, you can add the peanut butter last or
even mix
it in at a low setting in the blender. Tastes pretty darn good!
Antioxidant
Berry Blast
1 – 1.5
scoops
vanilla
protein powder
½ cup skim
milk
4- 6 ounces of no
fat yogurt
of your choice
½ banana
¼ cup
blueberries
¼ cup
strawberries
4 – 5
raspberries
4 – 5 ice
cubes
Blend until smooth.
This
shake has a thicker consistency, almost like a sorbet if you blend it
just
right. I love this one! One of my all time faves considering
you’re getting
tons of antioxidants from the berries, and lots of protein in one kick.
Enjoy!
