Protein Shake Recipes that DO NOT Suck!

(Pssst... You might want to print this out so you have something to reference in your kitchen)

Protein shakes are a daily fact of life for body builders. Heck, is there an easier way to pack all the protein, nutrients and vitamins needed by your body into one low fat meal? You need them, that’s for sure… Problem is, most of them taste like crap!

Here at www.muscleworkoutsreview.com we’ve prepared a nice collection of protein shake recipes that I have personally used throughout the years to keep things interesting… Wouldn’t want you to fall asleep from boredom while drinking the same old shake over and over now would we?

Here they are:

Raspberry Protein Shake

1/2 cup skim milk

1/2 cup fresh raspberries

1/2 banana

1 scoop protein powder

1 cup ice

Place in blender, and blend for 15 - 20 seconds or until smooth

This particular shake served as a good wake up for me. Early in the morning, it provided me with enough protein, and macro nutrients to get me energized and moving for the day.

Orange Vanilla Shake

Mix 1.5 - 2 scoops of vanilla protein powder

8 oz. orange juice

1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

½ banana

2-3 frozen strawberries

1 packet of sweetener or a few teaspoons of sugar (to taste)

4 – 5 ice cubes

This shake is higher in sugar content than most shakes I make, so I recommend using this as a pre-workout shake. Not before bed! Sure tastes good though!

Peanut Butter Chunk Shake

2 scoops vanilla protein

1 tbsp sugar-free instant pudding mix (Your choice of flavor)

1 tbsp natural peanut butter, chunky

8 oz skim  milk

3-6 ice cubes

Add everything to blender. If you want a chunky consistency, you can add the peanut butter last or even mix it in at a low setting in the blender. Tastes pretty darn good!

Antioxidant Berry Blast

1 – 1.5 scoops vanilla protein powder

½ cup skim milk

4- 6 ounces of no fat yogurt of your choice

½ banana

¼ cup blueberries

¼ cup strawberries

4 – 5 raspberries

4 – 5 ice cubes

Blend until smooth. This shake has a thicker consistency, almost like a sorbet if you blend it just right. I love this one! One of my all time faves considering you’re getting tons of antioxidants from the berries, and lots of protein in one kick. Enjoy!

That’ll wrap up today’s collection of protein shake recipes. Keep reading your emails from me though, as I have plenty left in the ol’ vault as far as recipes are concerned! Protein bars, post workout shakes, and MUCH more!  I recommend printing this page out so that you  always have these tasty recipes nearby when needed.  See you next time!  www.muscleworkoutsreview.com
